Appointments

Please make an appointment by calling the Clinic on 03 9720 7311 or clicking the BookAppointment Online button. Please note that while every effort is made to see patients at the appointed time, urgent cases will be attended to as a priority, thus some delays may occur.  Our reception staff will endeavour to keep you informed of any delays. If you cannot make it to your appointment on time, we would appreciate if you could contact our friendly reception team to let them know.  We also welcome walk in patients. However, there may be a longer wait to see a doctor without a booking.

Home Visits

Home visits may be arranged for regular patients who are unable to attend the clinic. These visits must be pre-arranged with your doctor. Please call for more information as we have restricted requirements for this.

Longer Consultations

Patients are advised that long consultations are available at High St Medical Clinic for multiple and or complex medical issues. A standard consultation is approximately 15 minutes. If you may require a longer consultation, please advise reception staff at the time of booking the appointment to insure availability.

After Hours Care

After hours care is provided for High St Medical Bayswater patients by AUSTRALIAN LOCUM MEDICAL SERVICES. Please call 13 26 60. ALMS provide home visits and free phone advice to patients between the hours of 6pm-8am weekdays and from 12 noon Saturday until 8am the following Monday. ALMS is open all day on public holidays. Patients registered with Medicare or Veteran’s Affairs are generally bulk billed. Long consultations and procedures may attract additional fees.

Billing Policy

High St Medical Bayswater currently has bulk billing facilities. However, matters not covered by Medicare are to be paid by the patient at the end of their consultation. Such services are billed at the rates listed in the Australian Medical Association List of Medical Services and Fees. Non-Attendance Fee will apply – please advise Staff if your appointment is not required otherwise a Non-Attendance fee apply.

Telephone Calls

The doctors at the clinic will take calls only if the matter is urgent, you can leave your details with reception and the doctor will be informed of your issue , Our staff will  ensure that your matter will be attended to.

Results of Tests

Reception staff are unable to discuss the results of pathology, x-ray, ultrasound and other imaging results on the telephone or at the reception desk. We Respectfully request that you discuss the follow up arrangements with your doctor at the time of consultation. In most cases, you will need to make a further appointment to discuss the result(s).

Interpreter services

If a patient requires an interpreter, please notify the clinic in advance so that we can organise for an interpreter to be present at the time of consultation. Please note there may be an additional cost applicable to this service.

Complaints

If you have a complaint, please discuss this with our Practice Manager or your doctor and we will ensure that it is dealt with promptly and appropriately. In the event that your complaint is not dealt with to your satisfaction, you may escalate it accordingly to the following authority:
